Viagra Scientist R.F. Furchgott Is Dead

An American scientist whose work helped lead to the development of the anti-impotency drug Viagra has died at the age of 92 in Seattle.

He discovered that nitric oxide would enlarge blood vessels in the body and so increase blood flow. This provided the theoretical basis that lead eventually to the development of Viagra.

His contribution to humanity will be remembered for a long time.
