Aids awareness campaign in the US is a cyclical process. The organizations concerned are not allowed access to schools as it happens in Africa and Asia. Thus the campaigners have to repeat the cycle after every 10-years, to net the upcoming sexually active age groups, who are just coming out of school.
This was disclosed by Elton John of the Elton John AIDS Foundation when he featured on CNN in an interview with Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
Elton John also mentioned drinks and drugs as causes of careless sexual behavior.
The US has 1.1million cases of AIDS, 30% of the infected being under 30.
